This RUBY-THROATED HUMMINGBIRD is carved and painted by hand.  Over the years I've carved quite a few HUMMINGBIRDS and I am happiest with the metal wings and beak. The way the mobile hangs and catches air movements is very nice. The red has slight flecks of glitter. The beak and wing pose is very uplifting.
Best to keep the carvings indoors or on a covered porch. I take photos of my carvings outdoors only to take advantage of the great lighting.
